This was our first time at this location and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful location! We loved the mountain views and the relaxing atmosphere. I personally loved the many books throughout the home. I actually read two books while I was there and loved that extra touch. We would definitely recommend this vacation home to everyone!!

We gathered in Ennis for my niece's graduation - I've stayed at this property several times with friends and am reminded each time about why I return. Beautifully appointed without the silly over-the-top pretend Montana touches. As a generational native, I really appreciate the simple beauty the house provides, with the focus on that gorgeous view and comfortable places to gather, rest, and recharge.

Spectacular setting!

Spectacular setting. Lovely, comfortable house. Books galore! No need for bottled water as water out of tap fresh and tasty! Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Here for 12 days and hope to return. Owner and Mountain Home have done a wonderful job. 5 stars all around

We loved our stay at Juniper House! The house has everything you need for any length of stay. The back porch was our favorite, the views are amazing and peaceful. Accessible to Yellowstone National Park and guided fishing along the Madison River. Look forward to a return visit at Juniper House for sure!

I am obsessed with this house. I stayed here for two weeks with my husband and three children. I was so relaxed here -- the views are just unbelievable...from every single room, even the garage has a killer view. The porch is heaven. Kitchen is great to cook in and very well stocked with high quality items. Bed were incredibly comfortable. Book collection was amazing. We enjoyed the fireplace and watching the deer every morning from the front porch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The town of Ennis was charming and people were very friendly. Great trip, thank you again for sharing your home with us.

This place was fantastic! It was a mix of modern and traditional design with plenty of open space and an open concept. I loved the house almost as much as going out and exploring the area! The house met all of my needs and more; all I had to bring was food. When I wasn't out exploring Ennis, Virginia and Nevada Cities and Yellowstone, I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the Madison Range, cooking in the awesome kitchen and sitting in the rocking chair or the reading nook with one of the many books this house had to offer. This was a great place and I highly recommend staying here if you are in the Ennis area.

High ceilings and open and connected areas gave a light and airy feeling. New appliances all around, pristine condition. The vista, available from practically every room in the house, was so stunning that it was cinematic and unreal: colossal mountain ranges, distant and close at the same time, and the entirety of the valley spreading out below...Ive seen mountains and valleys before, but not like this, from the perch that this house offers, practically like we were in the sky. I stared at the view for days, didnt need any other entertainment. Tons of books there that I could have read. My only complaint was that my bed was a bit too soft but such is life. A place of astounding beauty! Looking forward to absolutely coming back!

What a beautiful and special home! We were excited to visit the Madison Valley and looked forward to fishing and hiking and relaxing. We did a lot of each, but what a wonderful home to retreat to after a long day on the water or in the mountains. The house has so many lovely little private nooks for reading or napping, massive windows that look out to the Madison River and the mountains beyond, and all of the amenities of the most modern of homes. We had the privacy and quiet that we were really looking for, but also easy access to Ennis. What a great town.We spent a lot of time exploring the area around the Madison Valley, but couldn't wait to get back to the house where we really just lazed on the deck and watched the light on the Madison Range change as the sun went down. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer. We will make sure we do next time and we can't wait to get back!We have stayed in several Mountain Homes rentals over the years and they have always provided the best of service. The Juniper House is now at the top of our list.

Heavenly!

I spent five days at this wonderful summer home. And I should say, I fully intend to return with friends and stay for a longer vacation in the near future. The panoramic view of the Madison Range across the Madison Valley was incredibly serene and lovely. I spent many an hour on the back porch reading books, playing my ukulele, and sipping coffee while taking in the beautiful scenery.Everything about this home is laidback and delightful. The open concept living space makes it easy to socialize with kids and friends while preparing meals in the kitchen. Friends sat at the convenient kitchen counter or at the dining table, playing cards and chatting. However addition to the large communal space, there are also sweet nooks and crannies to curl up in one in particular above a low bookshelf in a hallway caught my fancy. The rooms are charming and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. At Juniper House the owners supply all kinds of nice amenities. To begin with, the home contains a rather astonishing collection of books ranging from guides to Montanas history, flora and fauna to classic literature and current novels. There are childrens books and cookbooks. There are lots of board games to play and several BIG bins of full of Legos!I needed to get some work done while I was at the home and the Wi-Fi worked efficiently no matter where I decided to settle in. I walked every day either from the property or I took a short drive to other hiking areas to explore. Birds and animals enchant around every turn -- I saw deer, cranes, bald eagles and a MINK!The location of Juniper House is an easy drive to the picturesque town of Ennis. I went there to shop and have lunch one day. Also I went to take the waters at Norris Hot Springs -- a unique oasis not far from the home I had a great soak and a good lunch surrounded by undisturbed natural wetlands. The day before I arrived at Juniper House I decided to spend a day exploring the shops and museums of Bozeman. (And while I knew by reputation that the Museum of the Rockies is quite remarkable I was rather amazed by the computer collection housed in the small American Computer Museum I highly recommend it.)I'll be BACK!!

For years I have traveled to Ennis to fly fish with my family. We have always stayed at traditional lodging facilities like hotels. This year we found the Juniper House and it was a real treat! Three beautiful bathrooms with amazing showers, a great huge kitchen, and a quite bird's eye view of the valley. The house is a short 20 minutes from Downtown Ennis which was perfect for our fly fishing adventures. We drove our rental car into town each morning. From town, our local guides took us to the river. We could see the Juniper House from our drift boat! After we returned from our day on the water, each person got there own shower!! A great surprise about the 20 minute drive is that in the morning and evening you can see numerous deer and antelope eating in the fields along the way. Our last night there, we saw a deer about 50 feet from the back porch! If you are planning a trip with multiple people, Rent This House! It is very clean and updated. It really made our traditional fishing trip feel more like a luxurious reward, not just another trip.
