Christmas and the Holiday Season in Bozeman
The sun is shining and Bridger Bowl Ski Hill is open! December is an exciting time around Bozeman, Montana!
Check out what to do while you’re in the area!
Last week’s Christmas Stroll ushered in another holiday season and the downtown is radiating with Christmas lights and cheerful shoppers. For 35 years, this special downtown event has brought young and old together on the first Saturday of December to walk with Santa Claus down Main Street and light up Bozeman’s decorations. Whether the temperature is -10 degrees or 35 degrees, people from all across the Gallatin Valley bundle up to celebrate the event. As children sip hot cocoa, parents and friends visit with one another in celebration of winter and the up-coming Holiday. Bozeman is a festive town that aims to connect the community together through annual events, providing activities for families and individuals alike to celebrate together.
Whether you’re a Christmas guest with Mountain Home, planning on being a guest, or just a travel enthusiast, here are some tips to make your holiday in Montana easy and relaxing.
Staying Warm
Are you prepared for winter temperatures that can fluctuate between 30 degrees and -30 degrees on any given day? If not, and you don’t want to break the bank for winter gear you may only use while you’re here, check out Second Wind, our favorite gently used gear store. It’s located just downtown and has very helpful staff.
Our staff makes sure all of our homes have ample amount of firewood and we check on the heat before your arrival, so no need to worry about the temperature when you arrive late or early. It gets dark this time of year, around 4:30 pm, so please take it slow when heading to your homes.
Family and Friends
If you’re already booked and you’re meeting up with family or friends be sure to share the invitation to the APP with them so they have the best directions to the home and the address.
